On a road trip to Wyoming, we had to stop off in Reno! Known as “the biggest little city in the world,” Reno is a small city where you can go to gamble if you are not quite ready for Vegas yet.
We only stopped in for twenty minuets or so. If you do not have much time, head right toward the fabulous Reno sign you see below!
In that same square, you will find giant poker chips that you can climb on.
Right behind them you can see a beautiful mural painted on the concrete wall. I am not sure who this artist is, but if you do, please let me know in the comments! This is my favorite mural that I came across while in the Western United States.
Once again, in that same square, diagonal from the giant poker chips, is a piece of the Blarney Stone. If you do not know the story of the Blarney Stone…long story short…it is a stone in Ireland that is said to bring you luck if you rub it.
After a quick stop at this intersection, we went into one of the casinos to use the rest room and then we were off again. If you are heading here in the winter, it is freezing, so bring a jacket! Hope this will help you figure out where to stop when driving by Reno.
